Another Sound Card Problem, with HP A1510n
Remember 2 of my previous post about the sound card problem on a HP Pavilion A1510n
I have another one, the same problem involving a sound card, this one running windows 2000 professional. I did the same thing, I downgraded the OS from Windows XP Media Center, W2k Pro to have full network functionality, after Win2k installation, I simply used the recovery disk that I created so I can have Win2k Detect and install the hardware. The video was installed with no problem, same with the LAN interface and the modem, except the sound card.
Anyway, on the other HP Pavilion A1510n see these post:
So yeah, we bought another Comp USA Sound Card, and installed in this Win2k PC, but on this one, the driver that came with PCI Sound card, also didn't work. I'm still trying to figure out my next move. Any suggestions? Let me work on it and I'll get back to you.

Comp USA Sound Card for the HP Pavilion A1510n
Last weekend we bought a sound card for this pc since the built-in sound card won't work. The card was installed yesterday and works great. Now we can install the call recording software to record and monitor incoming and outgoing calls.

HP Pavilion A1510n Sound Card on Windows Xp
On my previous post about this hardware, I downgraded the OS from Windows Media Center to Windows 2k Pro so i can have full network functionality. It is working fine, the video, the modem, the network now I can control and see it on our network and Directory Services. Policy editor is implemented on our network to control workstations and user access to the network.
Now after a month I was faced with the sound adapter problem. We need to install a call recording software, but it won't work because the sound card is not detected by Win2k Pro.
So I upgraded the OS to Windows XP Professional. But the same thing happen, Windows XP Pro was not able to detect the on board sound adapter.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Problem with HP Pavilion A1510n Sound Card
Originally this PC has Windows XP Media Center Edition installed. Because of the limited Network Functionality of this machine, I downgraded it to Windows 2000 Professional. After installation, all is working except for the sound card.
I used the recovery disk that i created, but no sound card drivers were found. The video, network and sound are imbedded on the board, windows 2000 was able to detect the video and network drivers with no problem, except for the sound card.
